UAT STEM Summer Camp

UAT STEM FALL CAMP

A five-day immersive STEM adventure for students in grades 6–12 who are ready to get hands-on with the future of technology. Campers spend two days becoming ethical hackers and cyber defenders, then three days designing, building, programming, and testing robots.

During the cybersecurity experience, students tackle cyber challenges, investigate digital threats, crack puzzles, and learn how hackers think. Then, they shift from hacking systems to building machines, spending three days engineering, programming, testing, and battling their robots.

Working alongside industry-experienced mentors in university-level labs, campers collaborate, compete, and create while gaining real-world experience in cybersecurity, robotics, AI, engineering, and technology.

Five days. Two worlds. One mission: Hack the Bot.

The camp closes with a capstone showcase where students present their creations, celebrate their progress, and walk away with new skills, confidence, and a clear sense of how STEM can shape their future. A summer built for teens who want more than a camp — they want an experience. The journey begins October 5th-9th.

FEES

$699 per student for the full week (Day Camp)
Includes daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, camp shirts and camp materials.

General Info

1. What is the duration of the camp?
The camp runs from July 5th to July 9th (Monday to Friday.)

2. Where is the camp located?
The camp will be held at the University of Advancing Technology (UAT) campus 2625 W Baseline Road, Tempe, Arizona.

3. Who can attend the camp?
The camp is open to students in grades 6th-12th.

4. Is this camp overnight?
No, this camp is limited to the day only from 9AM - 4PM.

5. What is included in the registration fee?
The fee covers:

Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A UAT camp shirt.
Graduation materials.
Access to all activities, workshops, and demonstrations.

7. What is the deadline for registration?
The deadline for registration is September 20th, or until spots are filled. There are limited spots for this camp.

Daily Schedule and Activities

9. What does a typical day look like?
Each day features:

Breakfast
Morning workshops and hands-on activities.
Lunch
Afternoon sessions with interactive challenges, tech demos, or guest speakers.
A mix of creative, educational, and team-building exercises.

10. Will there be breaks during the day?
Yes, there are scheduled breaks in the morning and afternoon to allow students to rest and recharge.

Meals and Dietary Needs

11. Are meals provided?
Yes, breakfast, lunch and dinner are available for all campers. Breakfast: 9AM-9:30, lunch 12pm-1pm and Dinner 5pm-6pm.

12. What if my child has dietary restrictions?
Please indicate any dietary restrictions during registration by emailing Camp Director, Robert Walker at rwalker@uat.edu. We will work to accommodate special dietary needs.

Supervision and Safety

13. Who supervises the campers?
Campers are supervised by a team of instructors, staff, and volunteers.

What to Bring

16. What should my child bring to camp?
A a reusable water bottle, comfortable clothing and shoes, backpacks/purses so as long as they remain with them at all times.

17. Are electronic devices allowed?
While not required, campers can bring devices such as laptops or tablets for certain activities. However, UAT is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
