💻 What Are The Hardware and Software Requirements for UAT Students?

Minimum Requirements & Program-Specific Tools

As a technology-focused university, UAT expects all students—especially those attending online—to have access to the tools needed for a high-tech learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Computer: A desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection and an operating system that supports modern browsers (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox). Tablets and mobile devices are not sufficient for coursework.

  • Webcam & Microphone: Needed for virtual class sessions, discussions, and presentations.

  • Productivity Software: Access to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or compatible alternatives.

  • Creative Software: Access to Adobe Creative Suite or compatible software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).

Program-Specific Tools:

Some majors may require use of software such as:

  • 3DS Max

  • Maya

  • Unity

  • Unreal Engine

  • SolidWorks

Before enrolling, please review your major’s software needs and confirm your system can support them. Not all devices can run these programs efficiently.

International Considerations:

Due to U.S. and international laws, some UAT programs may not be available in certain countries. Speak with an Admissions Advisor to determine eligibility.
