      If you need to temporarily pause your studies at UAT, it's important to understand the process and implications of requesting a Leave of Absence (LOA).

      📅 What is a Leave of Absence?

      An LOA allows you to take a break from your academic program without withdrawing from the university. This can be due to personal, medical, or other significant reasons. An approved LOA ensures that your enrollment status is maintained during your absence.

      ✅ Eligibility Requirements

      1. Written Request: Submit a written request before the leave begins, including a valid, documented reason. The request must be signed and dated.

      2. Intent to Return: Indicate a reasonable expectation of returning to your studies.

      3. No Additional Charges: UAT will not assess additional charges for completing prior term course material upon your return.

      4. Duration Limit: The LOA, combined with any additional leaves, must not exceed 180 days in any 12-month period.

      5. First Semester Restriction: Students in their first semester are not eligible for an LOA.

      6. Resumption of Studies: Upon return, you will resume your studies at the same point in the academic program where you left off.
