      Finding the right roommate can make all the difference in your college experience. At the University of Advancing Technology, the Office of Residence Life is here to support you in creating a living environment that helps you grow both personally and academically.

      Here are some helpful tips to guide your roommate search:

      👋 Visit Campus Events

      Attending a UAT Experience or other on-campus events gives you a chance to meet your peers face-to-face before classes begin. It’s a great opportunity to connect with potential roommates in person.

      🕒 Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute

      Start your roommate search early! The sooner you start, the more likely you’ll find someone compatible with your lifestyle.

      🧠 Be Honest About Your Needs

      Think carefully about what you need in a roommate—and what kind of roommate you are.

      Ask yourself:

      • Are you easy or difficult to live with?

      • What are your best traits as a roommate?

      • What might someone find frustrating about living with you?

      • Are you neat, messy, or a mix of both?

      • Do you like to share things—or not at all?

      • Are you a night owl or an early riser?

      Being honest with yourself helps you better communicate what you're looking for and increases the chances of a successful match.

      📝 Roommate Matching

      UAT’s Office of Residence Life offers a roommate matching program. You’ll fill out a questionnaire to help match you with someone who has a compatible lifestyle and preferences.

      ⚠️ While we strive to honor all roommate requests, some may not be possible due to space or other logistical limitations.
